Ong Mei Shan

I am currently a Research Fellow and we are working towards the development of analytics to aid in cardiovascular disease treatment and management. Prior to this, I have completed my Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2020. During my Ph.D., I was working on elucidating the role of gelsolin, a cytoskeletal protein in Wnt signaling in colorectal cancer.

Umamaheswari Muniasamy

I have completed Master’s in Biotechnology and joined Yale-NUS college from 2013-2017 as a Lab Executive. I have acquired experience as a research assistant from 2017-2020, with experiences in laboratory management (e.g. procurement & safety), molecular biological techniques (E.g. cell culture & PCR) and in vivo drosophila work. Currently, I am involved and assisting in experiments related to aortic tissue dissocation and cell culture, processing of patient blood samples and analysis of blood plasma.

I provide administration and legal support such as ethical approval, patient consent, budget management, procurement of laboratory items, and staff recruitment. I have accumulated experience in both clinical research coordination and laboratory research. I graduated from Nanyang Technological University with Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biological Sciences.
